There are not much people around which is something I really enjoy! I really love the ambience and furnishes of the place!
One thing that really stands up from Kkongdon BBQ apart from the other korean bbq outlets is that they actually offers All-You-Can-Eat and add on options! The price ranges from $19.80++ and $12++ (adult and child). Affordable price and all you can eat? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
What's more, more free flow stuff at the corner of the room!
There are kimchi, lettuce (for you to wrap your meat and rice) and potato salad etc. for selection and you can eat as much as you want!
OH! There are also free korean rice cake (deokbokki), kimchi dumpling (kimchi mandu), seaweed, mushroom and such apart from the free flow meat available.
One thing that always kept me away from eating bbq is the aftermath where the smell lingers on you. Kkongdon have a very special air suction where it goes down very close to the pan and suck all the oil and smell up before it gets on you. Of course, nothing is perfect but it really is so much better! We went in and stayed there for about 2-3 hours and when we left, I smell my hair and it is not oily and smelly as when I had the normal bbq. *thank god*
The frying pan is also tilted at a slight angle so that the oil will drip down to the waste tray. Staff service is really good also as they will change the sheets when it is dirty without having us to ask for a new sheet.
This is the All-You-Can-Eat Menu for reference~
I decided not to have beef for some time due to some personal reason, but I had crazy amount of these:
spicy chicken
Bulgogi (My personal favorite!)
We also make some A-lar-carte order such as:
Bibimbap!
Kimchi Pancake (Kimchi Buchimgae, another personal favorite!)
Pork Belly. Just to clarify, the meat in the a-la-carte menu are free flow but if there are specific parts of pork or beef you would like, you can order it separately at add on prices. An example will be this pork belly dish.
Beef Short Rib Soup (Galbitang) Even though I did not take beef, I had a few sip on the soup and it taste amazing! The chef spend 3-4 hours brewing the soup and it really taste good. Most of the other bloggers that ate beef highly recommend this and the sirloin steak.
Kimchi Stew, another option if you don't take beef!
They are very considerate in their menu where they show steps on how to make a seaweed or lettuce wrap.
We then attempt to wrap one ourselves and here is how it is suppose to look like.
So happy and satisfied!
I had so much meat I think I gained like 5kg but it is totally worth it.
Well, that is basically all! I really love it and I think it is really worth it for the price! Before I end it off, thank you Michelle for the invites, thank you the PRs Samantha and Sherril for taking care of us and last but not least, thank you Kkongdon for the hospitality!
With Loves,
Joan Ting
