Hi there! Since it is the coming to an end of 2014, I decided to craft a blog post so that it will be easier to reminisce on what I did in 2014.
Before I start, I would like to clarify that I have no intention to show off what I have and some things might even be unimportant to you guys but it does matter to me. With that in mind, let's go down memory lane together.
In no particular order,
1. I got contracted under The Changing Point Productions (TCP) and there are new opportunities for me such as acting etc.
I've known tons of friends along the way and some of them even became my good friend, taking Sharon as an example!
Of course this will not happen if TCP did not sign me up and I really thank Sean and Wei Xiong and everyone in the production that actually make all these happened!
2. I did my first photo shoot for The Julien Team!
3. Throughout 2014, I did more of product reviews thanks to SampleStore for sending me the products such as: Biore, La Roche-Posay, Hada Labo etc.
4. One of the my utmost dreams and achievement got to be being able to travel quite frequently this year. I went to Taiwan twice this year, once for 10 days and once for a week. In addition, I also went for a trip to Krabi! It may not seem too much for some of you but the trip certainly are one of the highlights in my 2014!
5. If you guys don't know, I actually took part in a blogging competition in Singapore, Cineleisure's Next Online Sensation 3 (CNOS3), and I am one of the finalist! We got champion for challenge 3 #TeamWonderWow and through this, I got to know amazing friends from the blogging world such as Michelle Cheng, Sophia and Tse Lyn. Fortunately, through these girls, I got to know more amazing humans such as Sam, Michelle and Rosental!
Our first trip out together!
Our first clubbing experience together!
Our first yoga experience!
First stayover in Malaysia! To many more years of friendships ahead!
I also got to fan girl over Bong Qiu Qiu, even though I actually met her some time ago, not to forget Miss Tam Chiak and Shiela Mandy too as the judge for CNOS 3.
Along the way, I actually get to meet local celebrities such as Kimberly Chia, Candyce Toh, Patricia Mok, Xu Bin, Desmond Xu and Chua En Lai. I am really grateful to Jaz for giving me the opportunity to meet some of them!
6. I successfully graduated from polytechnic and move on to the other phase of my life. I really thank god for giving me the knowledge for finishing the course with strength and not to forget the period that I was really stressed out wondering what I should do with my life and whether or not I should continue to further my studies. I am glad that I am doing my Bachelor now and at least I have a direction in life.
7. I am given more opportunities to join events such as: Luxola party, Samplestore, Mitju and many more!
8. I joined my first Kpop Dance Competition (it was a last minute decision), and even though we did not clinch the top 3 spot, I am pleased that we qualify to the top 10 finals.
9. This year I am making more Youtube video (even though it is still not a constant upload), but I am still quite satisfied with it that my channel is still active. I am really thankful for my subscriber, going from 3 when I just started to 75 currently. It might not be a huge amount to many but I am thankful for what I got.
10. I went for my first ever Halloween Night in USS! In the past, I would never visit such things as I am quite scare of these. I am really exhilarated that I actually went despite being doubtful!
11. Thanks to Tse Lyn and Mich, I got exposed to local music and got the chance to meet Gentle Bones, Josh and Take two which produce such good music!
12. I've lost touch with my secondary school best friends and recently we are back in touch! I am really thankful for them and that we are back in touch because they are really such nice friends that I've got! Thank you Hester, Yung Yung and Evangeline! I had a crazy night with you girls!
13. Alright, so this is a huge major hit for me. Jenn Im (Youtuber), with the channel named ClothesEncounter actually liked my video, commented on my video, liked my Instagram photo and replied on my comment on her channel. *FAN GIRL MODE ON* I actually went for her meet up but I didn't get to see her. But I am really glad that she saw my comments!
14. Last but not least, which is also the most important one to me, this year my relationship with my parents are much better and we are so much closer and I love it! Thankful for them that they are always by my side, through my ups and downs.
These are a few summarized events that are the highlights of my 2014. There are more to it which I might forget to include but I am still thankful for everything that happened in my life!
I have listed the good highlights but I also experienced some of the worst stuff just like any of you. My Grandpa and my aunt passed away earlier this year and due to some reasons, I am not there to see them for the last time and also for their wake. It really hit me hard that I did not appreciate people when they are around me.
Also, I lost some friends along the way but I am still thankful for them, I am sure everything happened for a reason and I will just learned from it. God took some friends away from me but place some back in my life. I am glad that before the year ends, I made some great friends to completely seal my 2014. There are many firsts in my 2014, the good and the bad and I am really looking forward to how my 2015 will be!
Super grateful for Susanna and Ivan for always sticking by me. I had a blessed Christmas with them, along with Nex, Phillip and Bryant.
Sorry for the super lengthy post! One last one, my 2015 resolution:
- Be more active on Youtube and Blog.
- More focused on school and work.
- More future trips overseas.
That is all for mine! I hope your 2014 have been good, if not, make the last day a good one and welcome 2015 with a smile!
With Loves,
Joan Ting
