Hello my lovelies! Its been quite a while since my last blog update and here it comes! The post that a lot of you are asking me about! My first Taiwan trip, Day 1. So to reward ourselves for successfully graduating, we decided on a post-graduation trip to Taiwan on the 10th March 2014! It takes between 4-5 hours from Singapore to Taiwan depending on your pilot for the day and the weather of course.
So anyway, we booked our tickets, to and fro to Taiwan by Tigerairways with a total charge of $935.50, inclusive of checked in baggage of 15 kg (for both to share when going), 20kg (each when coming back), additional $6 for board me first and travel insurance.

I would recommend you all to share your baggage like how we did. Both of us got our huge ass luggage to checked in and both add up not exceeding 15kg. Bring only the things you NEED if you want to save money on the trip. The period when we went is March and the weather in Taiwan is cold, therefore we need our coat.

So anyway, upon reaching the airport, we check in and since we have 2 hours to wander around, "wanton" (my friend Susanna, whom our clique called wanton) is hungry and so we went to grab some food for her!

So wanton got this meal for less than 10 bucks from SOUPerlicious! and we just chill in here for a bit until I saw a super cool flower art!

Finally, we are going to depart! I always love the beautiful sceneries that you can see through the windows.

We didn't pre-order any food because we thought we could save some money but ended up getting really hungry. Therefore, we bought some snacks to share and it cost much more than pre-ordering first.
#Tipforyou: Bring some snacks along in your hand-carry or pre-order your meal instead of purchasing on board!

After getting our baggage, we head on over to check in at our hotel which is located at Ximending. We took a bus from the airport. The bus fare is very cheap and takes about half an hour to reach Taipei Main Station. From there, Ximending is just one stop away!
The bus we took from the airport to Taipei is:

We are staying in Hotel Puri (Ximending branch), which is a 5 mins walk away from Ximending station. Here are some of our considerations before choosing the hotel:
1. Is it near the train station?
2. Is the bathroom nice? (We wanted a bathroom with bathtub)
3. Price range not exceeding $100/night.

My stay in Hotel Puri (Ximending branch) is really pleasant. The room is up to my expectation and it is really convenient! For those of you that are interested, head on over to Hotel Puri Website to check out more!

After which, we head out to grab some dinner as it is about 10pm after checking in and all the traveling. We went to KFC which is just around the corner and have their crispy chicken meal!
#Tipforyou: For all you chili-lover, I am sorry to say but they do not have chili provided in most of the restaurant.
过后我们因为还没吃晚餐而且时间已晚已经没什么了，所以我们的晚餐就在 KFC 搞定了！
＃给你们的提示：如果喜欢吃辣或者没有辣椒不能活的你们，很对不起可是他们大多的餐馆都没有提供辣椒喔。
After which, we head on over to walk around Ximending and bought some famous snacks such as the Taiwan sausage and went on to explore the super huge Carrefour in Ximending. Walkable distance of about 5-10 mins but since it is late at night, wanton and I decided to head on and explore the place!
过后我们在西门町绕了一圈，买了台湾香肠来吃然后去了家乐福逛逛。
家乐福的地址： 西门町车站 （一号出口）从中華路一段往桂林路一带走五分中左右就到了！
